Project: PHP Link Cloaking Tool
Technologies: PHP, AJAX, mySQL Database
Cost: $49 USD
To cloak or not to cloak – that is the question, and a very important one. If you’re an affiliate marketer, then cloaking your affiliate links is the lifeblood of your business!
Why should one cloak their links?
Cloaking your links is important for a few reasons. Mainly to discreetly disguise your long and winding affiliate link, containing your affiliate ID, from your customers when they’re browsing your website. Why hide an affiliate link from your customer? Most customers could care less about what a link looks like – but some do care, and you’ll find that it doesn’t look ‘clean’ or ‘professional’ to the saavy online buyer.
Another good reason to cloak your links is to protect the sensitive information contained within the link – like your affiliate ID.
Here’s some examples of cloaked links on my website. Mouse over these links and check out how I cloak my links in a clean & professional manner:

I created the PHP Link Tracker to not only cloak your links, but to track how many clicks each link gets. Let me explain how it works.
The PHP Link Tracker comes with a secure login section – so you can login to add links and view your stats. Once you’re logged in, you can add unlimited links to your PHP Link Tracker system. You can view your links, and see how many clicks each link is receiving.
I just love this tool! I create a custom link each time I make an affiliate link – so I can track how many clicks it’s getting. I do this for forum signatures, Yahoo Answer posts, blog posts, YouTube urls – and the list goes on.
Feel free to test drive the PHP Link Tracker with my demo account below. If you’d like me to customize this script, I’d be happy to entertain your creative thoughts. Please contact me if you’d like customizations.
