So you want to have your own Craigslist classified website? Easy enough to set up for you. I’ll direct you in the right direction to get a copy of the code (only costs $30) and it’s all written in PHP using a mySQL database. Configuring it isn’t too bad, just need to set up your categories/subcategories and you’re almost in business.

I set up a Craigslist clone for my wife’s little e-venture www.usedcraftsvictoria.com and I added a few custom modifications to the code.

• Google Adsense-style banner system where users can pay to create side banners on the website. Ecommerce setup thru PayPal
• ‘Feature my Ad’ where the user can select their ad to be featured on the homepage for a certain number of days.  Ecommerce setup thru PayPal.
